Help CenterRSVPs and guests
Plus-ones, capacity and deadline
Decide how many guests each person can bring, cap the total headcount and close replies on a date. All three are free and optional.
Out of the box, an rsvp.so invitation accepts as many replies as come in, with no plus-ones and no closing date. That's right for a lot of events. When you need more control, tap the gear on the RSVP card to open RSVP Settings.
- Plus Ones lets each guest bring extra people, anywhere from one to nine. Guests choose the number when they reply, and your guest list shows the total headcount, not just the number of replies.
- Capacity caps the event at a number of people. Plus-ones count toward it, so a capacity of 40 really means 40 people in the room. When the limit is reached, the invitation tells new visitors the event is full instead of taking more replies.
- RSVP Deadline closes replies after a date you pick. Guests who open the link later see that the deadline has passed. It gives you a firm number for the caterer or the venue.
All three are part of the free product. On some services a reply deadline is a paid extra (Evite, for example, keeps its RSVP-by feature for paid invitations). On rsvp.so it's one setting, like the others.
Names and answers for plus-ones
If you need to know who's coming and not just how many, turn on Require Plus One Names and guests type a name for each person they bring. With Also ask plus ones, your questions are asked for every person in the party, which is what you want for meal choices or name badges at a wedding.
You can change any of these settings after the invitation is out. Replies that already arrived are kept.
